Workplace harassment involves all forms if behavior by colleagues, supervisors or customers that are not welcomed by the receiving person. Discrimination at a workplace in form of gender, race, skin color, age, religion or nationality should be discouraged to bring about professionalism and respect in the workplace. Harassment causes numerous problems to employees in the work environment. For instance, victims of harassment may not be able to successfully complete their work and advance in their careers. Harassment can lead to poor physical and emotional health, and can affect promotions and career development opportunities. As a result, all companies should adopt a zero-tolerance policy to all forms of harassment. Besides, organizations should treat all forms of harassment as misconducts and implement the federal laws to cases of harassment within the workplace.
